On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Duquette, MLB Network radio, John Canzano and he plays a portion of this weeks Sports Pit with Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson.
Puck opens the show discussing the Mariners offense rearing its ugly head again in a 2-0 loss to the Red Sox. Puck also touches in on Julio Rodriguez and the response to yesterday’s show with Bill Krueger, who said Julio is a very good player but he’s yet to be a great player.
Jim Duquette, MLB Network radio jumps on the show for his weekly segment and discusses Logan Gilbert’s performance on Monday, plus, he gives his opinion on what the national view of Julio Rodriguez looks like, the latest on All-Star voting, fallout from the Rafael Devers trade and Shohei Ohtani made his pitching debut.
John Canzano joins Puck for his weekly visit to discuss the Pac-12 zeroing in on Texas State to join the conference. Should fans be excited for the Bobcats to join? Does Sacramento State have a future in the Pac-12? Why did UNLV cool on the conference? WSU eliminated big portions of their Track & Field program. It's a sign of things to come. John gives his prediction how long it will be before college football pulls away from the NCAA.
Puck then plays a portion of this weeks Sports Pit with Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson. The boys spend a lot of time on this weeks show discussing Julio Rodriguez and whether the Seattle sports community is too unfair with him or the criticism leveled at him is fair.
